ABOUT OUR FOUNDER

Our founder Chairman, late Dr.A.D.GROVER. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arjun_Dass_Grover was a renowned eye surgeon & philanthropist, he was known far & wide for his clinical acumen, keen observation & surgical skill.
He was the Founder President of the Chandigarh Ophthalmological Society and President of Indian Medical Association, Chandigarh State Branch 1981-82. His work and research has been acknowledged in the famous Ophthalmology Book series of Sir Stewart Duke Elder. He also helped set up the institute eye department at PGIMER Chandigarh in 1960. In 1962 when he felt that his spirit of “patient first” was being stifled, he resigned from PGI and started the first private eye clinic in Chandigarh.

Grover Eye Hospital and Training Institute has one of the largest, modern and sophisticated operation theatre (OT) complex in the region which is fully equipped with Latest, best state-of-the-art Eye Equipment & critical care facilities.

O.T. COMPLEX is built according to international standards keeping in view WHO / NABH sterilization guidelines. UV Lights, AHU with HEPA filters used for the sterilization of OT Air. OT is equipped with High end Operating Microscope, Latest Robotic Phaco Machines and Vitrectomy Machines apart from the regular surgical equipment. Centurian system from Alcon (USA) is used in Eye OT. OT is supported by a Central Sterilization Department, adequate Paramedical Staff and Wards for pre and post operative care. Dedicated Quality Head and Infection control committee ensures high levels of sterilization standards in OT.
